City of Franklin Parks presents: Touch A Truck
May 17 • 5-8pm • Jim Warren Park
Trucks, equipment, and vehicles of all shapes and sizes will gather at Jim Warren Park where children of all ages, with parent supervision, will be welcome to touch, climb-on, and explore these amazing pieces of equipment. Fire trucks, police cars, tractors, back hoes, tow trucks, and more! "No Horn Hour" will be from 5pm-6pm for the little ones! Music, games and fun will also be available at this free family event. On your mark, get set, splash! Registration is now open for the inaugural Franklin Family Splash & Dash. Join us on June 15 to go over the river and through the parks!
This community event will feature a running and biking portion with an optional float down the Harpeth River. It will start and end at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm.
Customize your race experience:
Choose between a 5K run or a 1 mile fun run
Choose to participate in optional float down the Harpeth River (bring your own boat)
Registration fees:
Ages 3 & Under: Free
Ages 4-12: $10
Ages 13+: $35
*Registration fee includes race t-shirt
*Fees will increase after June 1

November 2 • 10am -2pm • The Park at Harlinsdale Farm
Franklin Parks’ Family Day offers many opportunities for families to have a great time on this historical farm. This free festival features miniature train rides, hayrides, pony rides, and a petting zoo. Festival attendees can also enjoy cane pole fishing in the pond. Don't miss the Touch-a-Tractor area, which will consist of small excavators the kids can operate and large tractors the kids can sit on from 10AM - 2PM.
Many equestrian related events will be held in the Tractor Supply Arena, sponsored by Friends of Franklin Parks.
Food will be offered for purchase by local food vendors.
Silent Run IEA
November 9-10 • The Tractor Supply Co. Arena at The Park at Harlinsdale Farm
The Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) is a national program allowing young riders in grades 4-12 to engage with equestrian sports in an accessible and meaningful way. Riders sign up for farm teams, where they learn horsemanship and advance their riding skills. Riders then compete as individuals at local IEA shows, where they earn points, allowing them to qualify for regional, zone, and national shows.
IEA accommodates Walk Trot (for those just learning to ride), Walk Trot Canter, Crossrails, 2ft and 2’6 allowing all levels of riders compete.
